The Cuban embassy in Paris states its building was attacked overnight with gas bombs, causing serious damage but no injuries to diplomatic staff.
The embassy on Tuesday condemned the attack on its premises, found in the French capital’s 15th arrondissement.
It didn’t say who it thought was accountable for the incident, which happened around night time on Monday.
The Cuban foreign ministry’s Worldwide Press Center stated three Molotov cocktails were tossed, with two striking the embassy and sparking a fireplace.
Cuban diplomats extinguished the blaze as French firefighters and police showed up in the scene, it added.
There wasn’t any immediate comment from French police, but Cuban Minister of Foreign Matters Bruno Rodriguez place the blame for that incident around the U . s . States.
“I hold the federal government accountable for its continuous campaigns against our country that encourage these behaviours as well as for requires violence, with impunity, from the territory,” he stated inside a publish on Twitter.
